- What does “voice metering” mean?
- Speaking the case out loud with the AI standardized patient is the metered, premium part, measured in minutes. Each plan includes a monthly amount of voice minutes, and higher tiers include more. Typing to the patient is free to start on the Free plan and unlimited on every paid plan.
- What happens when I run out of free voice minutes?
- Nothing breaks. You keep your text practice and all your history. If you want to keep practicing out loud, you can upgrade — but there's no obligation, and no card is required to start.
- What if I go over my plan's voice minutes?
- We never cut you off mid-encounter. Voice beyond your monthly included minutes is billed as a small per-minute overage rather than a hard wall, so a busy week is never a dead end.
- Can I cancel anytime?
- Yes. Billing is monthly with no contract — cancel from your account in a couple of clicks and you keep access through the end of the period you've paid for.
- Is this medical advice?
- No. ClinicSims is an educational simulator for practicing clinical communication and reasoning. The AI patient and feedback are training tools, can be wrong, and must never be used for real patient care or as medical advice.
- How is my data handled?
- We store your account and the text of your encounters so you can review your progress; we do not store raw voice audio. Don't enter real patient information. Full detail — including how to request deletion — is in our Privacy Policy.
