Terms of Service
Last updated June 21, 2026
These terms govern your use of ClinicSims (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Please read the educational-use and AI sections carefully.
Educational simulation only — not medical advice
ClinicSims is a training tool. It is not medical advice, not a medical device, and not a substitute for real clinical education, supervision, or judgment. The patients, cases, findings, scores, and feedback are simulated and generated for practice. Nothing in the Service should be used to diagnose or treat any real person, and it must never be relied upon for actual patient care. Always defer to your faculty, your institution's curriculum, and licensed clinical supervision.
AI-generated content
The patient's responses, the feedback, and the scores are produced by AI models and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or wrong, including clinically. Treat them as practice material to reflect on, not as an authoritative answer key. Verify anything clinical against trusted sources and your instructors.
No real patient data
You agree not to enter any real patient information or protected health information (PHI) into the Service. All content you provide should relate to the fictional, simulated cases.
Your account
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. During the beta, access may be invite-only. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service only for lawful, educational purposes. Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service or its AI providers.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
- Free trial. New accounts include a limited number of free voice encounters plus a starter budget of free text practice. Once the free voice allowance is used, voice requires a paid plan; once the free text budget is used, continued text practice requires a paid plan.
- Subscriptions. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Each plan includes a set amount of voice encounters per billing period; text practice is unlimited on every paid plan.
- Overage. If you exceed your plan's included voice for a period, additional voice encounters may incur a small per-encounter overage charge. We don't hard-stop you mid-encounter.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are generally non-refundable for time already elapsed.
- Price changes. We may change prices or plan limits for future billing periods; we'll give reasonable notice. Founding-user pricing, where offered, is honored for its stated term.
Your content
You keep ownership of the notes and responses you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service — for example, to store your encounters, send them to our AI providers to generate the patient replies and your feedback, and show your history back to you. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
Availability and changes
The Service is offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis, especially during the beta. Features may change, and voice availability can depend on third-party providers. We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service, and we'll try to give notice of significant changes.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClinicSims is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any clinical, academic, or other decision made in reliance on the Service or its AI-generated output. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated or to protect the Service or its other users.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll update the “last updated” date and, for material changes, make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
